【 第3回日台戦略対話における双方の発表内容 】
GREETING FROM DR. WONG MING – HSIEN, THE PRESIDENT OF TSRA

#3 First of all, I would like to send my most profound appreciation to you for your participation in the last two dialogues last year. With productive outcomes, we have discussed regional security, Indo-Pacific Strategy, and cyber warfares, etc. This year, the whole world was dramatically hit by the pandemic of COVID19 including Japan and Taiwan, the way we lived familiarly with also changed after since. Transportation, economic system, politics, and international relation as well, are either remain the same we know it. Might it impact to the related aspects, security and politics are the most of our concern.

Taiwan facing the first wave of the strikes of pandemics, but with the efforts of government and society, the epidemic prevention mechanism now is the model of the world. Is there anything Japan could consult us on this perspective is the following questions we should focus on.

Therefore, the form of the meeting will video conference, it could continuing the tradition of the Dialogue, on the other hand, may we take this form as a way as a different approach to enhancing our effectiveness in exchanging our view immediately. Hence, the conference will be focusing on the impact of Taiwan-Japan security relations on the view of nontraditional security aspects, also the method both sides took to control the pandemics. Further, from the perspective of military security, we shall analyse and learn from the measures countries took, especially the mobilization of the PLA after February 1.

Thus, the three main subjects of this Dialogue including: "The trend of Chinese national security and PLA after COVID19", "The impact on Taiwan-Japan security strategy after COVID19" and "Future challenge of nontraditional threats among ASIA". Hoping could enhance the further security cooperation between Taiwan and Japan under the Indo-Pacific Strategic Framework through these topics.

Finally, in front of this human commonality pandemic, I especially would like to send my sincere wishes to all the members of this Dialogue and looking forward to opening another cooperation and exchanging.
